Bible-Based Mini Book Collection: Simple, Hands-On Learning for Little Hearts

When it comes to teaching young children about the Bible, simple and hands-on activities often make the biggest impact. That’s exactly why I created the Bible-Based Mini Book Collection — a set of printable Bible mini books for both the Old and New Testament stories.

Each mini book is designed to help toddlers and preschoolers learn, retell, and remember the stories of Scripture in a fun, engaging way—without any prep work for parents or teachers.

What Are Bible-Based Mini Books?

These one-page printable mini books are quick to assemble and perfect for little hands. Simply print, fold, and read! Each one comes in both color and black-and-white versions, giving you the option to print ready-made or let children color their own.

The black-and-white versions are especially popular for Sunday school, homeschool, and church nurseries—kids love taking home something they created themselves!

Every mini book includes:
- A short retelling of a Bible story in simple, child-friendly language
- Engaging illustrations that capture each story
- A Gospel tie-in at the end—reminding children how every story points to Jesus
- Fine motor practice through folding and coloring
- A no-prep design that’s ready in minutes

Why I Created These Mini Books

As a former children’s ministry coordinator (and now a mom of three!), I know it’s sometimes challenging to find faith-based resources that are simple, engaging, and require little to no prep.

I wanted a way for children to review what they’ve learned after a Bible lesson, retell stories in their own words, build a collection of Old and New Testament stories over time, and practice fine motor skills while reinforcing comprehension.

So I started creating mini books for Bible stories that could be used anywhere — during Sunday school, at home in a morning basket, as a church take-home, or in a preschool Bible center.

Now, we use them regularly in our own home. My kids love folding their books, coloring the pictures, and proudly “reading” them back to me.

How to Use the Mini Books

There are so many ways to use these Bible story mini books:

At home – Include in your morning basket, quiet time, or family devotions.
In Sunday school – Use as a lesson review or coloring activity.
In Christian preschool classrooms – Add to your Bible learning centers or send home for family connection.
As a take-home activity – Perfect for church nurseries or children’s ministry programs.

They make a wonderful collection—children can build their own “Bible library” as you move through Old and New Testament lessons.

Teach Bible Truths Simply and Joyfully

Every story, from Noah’s Ark to the Resurrection, points to God’s bigger story of redemption—and these little books help children see that truth from the very beginning.

Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or children’s ministry leader, the Bible-Based Mini Book Collection gives you a simple, meaningful way to help children hide God’s Word in their hearts—one mini book at a time.
