Teaching the Gospel to Little Hearts: Why We Created Our Gospel Curriculum
At the heart of every resource at Sweeter Than Honey Kids is a simple, powerful truth: the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Christian preschool curriculum, Bible lessons, and homeschool resources all exist to teach children the good news that Jesus came, lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose again.
This belief drives everything we do. Our goal is to give parents and teachers solid Bible curriculum for toddlers and preschoolers that points children to Jesus from the very beginning.
The gospel isn’t just a theme—it’s the foundation of our entire shop and every product we create.

Why Teach the Gospel Early? | Bible Lessons for Young Children
We deeply believe children can understand the truth of Scripture. Even at ages 1–5, kids are forming beliefs about God, identity, and purpose. Early childhood is the perfect time to begin shaping hearts with the Word of God through Bible memory, hands on gospel activities, and simple Scripture truths explained clearly.
Deuteronomy 6:6–7 reminds us that parents are called to talk about God’s Word as we sit, rise, walk, and live our everyday rhythms.
“These words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children…”
Psalm 119 shows us why—God’s Word planted in our hearts keeps us from sin.
Because of that, Christian families, churches, and homeschoolers need strong, age-appropriate gospel lessons to begin discipleship early.
That is exactly why we built our gospel curriculum for kids.
For even more on scripture memory, read our blog post about it here.
We also created free scripture memory cards ready to print and use in your family discipleship!
Introducing: The Gospel Big Truths Curriculum (Christian Preschool Curriculum)
We wanted to give families and ministries a simple, hands-on, four-part Bible study for children that explains the full story of the gospel from beginning to end.
This printable Bible curriculum was intentionally written for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, homeschool morning time, Christian classrooms, and Sunday School groups.
It helps children see the gospel clearly—in language they can understand and activities they can enjoy.
Here’s what each lesson covers:
Lesson 1: Creation – God Made Us in His Image
Children learn God created the world and made people in His image. This lesson helps kids understand identity, purpose, and relationship with God.
Lesson 2: Corruption – We Are All Born into Sin
Kids begin to understand why the world is broken and why we disobey. This lesson gently explains sin and separation from God—something even young children recognize in daily life.
Lesson 3: Crucifixion – Jesus Died to Save Us
This lesson highlights Christ’s life, death, and the rescue He provides. Children learn that Jesus is the Savior who took the punishment we deserve.
Lesson 4: Consummation – God Makes All Things New
Kids finish with the hope of restoration: we can be near God again through Jesus, and one day all who trust Him will live with Him forever. This builds a full Biblical worldview for children:
Created → Broken → Saved → Restored.
